Particle NE (ね) end of sentence


1. 

ね (NE) can be used to form "question tags" (didn't you? don't you? etc.) to get your interlocutor's confirmation. In some cases, よ (YO) can precede ね. The speaker is asking for a reaction or an opinion.  is mainly used in an informal context and can become NEE (longer).

吉田(よしだ)さんあの小包(こづつみ)(わた)してくれた
Yoshida san ni ano kozutsumi o watashite kureta yo ne?
You have given Mrs. Yoshida that package, haven’t you?

Yumi to yonde kudasai ne.
Call me Yumi if you don’t mind.

電車(でんしゃ)()ったほう(はや)ですけど
Densha de itta hou ga hayai desu kedo ne.
Going by train would be faster, wouldn’t it?

5. 

The particle ね (NE) is mostly used by men at the end of an interrogative sentence to ask a question. ね is mainly used orally and can become NEE (longer).

論文(ろんぶん)()(おえ)
Ronbun o kakioeta ka ne.
Have you already finished writing your master’s thesis?
