Particle SHI (し)

The particle SHI can be placed after an enumeration of actions. It works as a connector.

日本は食べ物はおいしいし、安全だし、住みやすいところです。
にほん は たべもの は おいしい し、あんぜん だ し、すみやすい ところです。
Japan is an easy place to live: the food is good and it is safe.

The particle SHI can be placed after an enumeration of reasons explaining the outcome. It can be translated as "because... and because..., then..."

そのホテルは、汚いし、評判が悪いし、泊まらないほうがいいですよ。
その ホテル は、きたない し、ひょうばん が わるい し、とまらない ほう が いい です よ。
The hotel is dirty and has bad reviews, so it’s best if you don’t stay there.
