Hello,

I am Eldebrand (Pseudonym of course). I am looking forward to working with you all on learning the great language of Japanese. The app I downloaded for my Nook HD has already helped me to realize a few things. Mainly that I am going to focus on learning the Hiragana and Katakana first before anything else.

I plan to study hard for 6 months, followed by 6 months of Spanish, French, German, and Chinese (Both). I will then return and do 1-2 month stints of each language in turn (probably twice over). My ultimate goal is to take the various proficiency tests for each of these languages and then sell my services as a translator.

I do have one question however. When I was originally searching this forum everything was in English. I then did the one-click registration and everything switched to what looks to be French. How do I switch it back? I don't know French yet!

Sincerely,

Eldebrand

Welcome!

Tell me when you want to learn french (in 6 months right?), I can help you if you want.
By the way, you are sure to find lots of french people here! Especially on the chat of Japan activator. Don't hesitate to join us =)

Click the flag on the top of the page. ;)

Good luck!

I noticed a lot of the posts seemed to be written by people using English as a second (or third) language. When I click the flag at the top of the forum page it sends me back to the main Japan-Activator page and the forums menus and links are all still in French.

I'll definitely hit you guys up for advice on French when I get to it.

Eventually. I will have to look into how/if that is done around here. I might have to travel to take the test.
