I have come across a problem with the JA Sensei quiz. I suppose the test app on the site is the same, but I haven't used it enough to stumble over this problem.

Some words and characters have double translations. Two examples:

- the Roomagi "ju" can be written with Kana as either "chi"+"yu" or with "ji" + "yu"
- the english word "mother" can be translated as "haha" or "okaasan"

If you are unlucky, BOTH these alternatives will appear as suggestions when you do a quiz, giving you both "haha" AND "okaasan" to chose between. The problem is that the app only sees one of them as correct. This gives you a 50-50 chance of guessing wrong even if you know the answer.

This problem is quite small in the Kana quiz, but if you do the vocabulary quiz on "Family" from English to Japanese it happens very often since almost all the words have double translations in Japanese depending on whose mother, sister, father (and so on) we are talking about.

I don't know how this could be solved in an easy way (apart from translating "haha" with "(my) mother" or something like that) but it would be better if the app would at least recognize both answers as correct.

/edit:

Just did a couple of tests on the website, and there it seems like both correct answeres are accepted as correct. It would be nice if the JA Sensei app could work the same way. :)

Ok I've understood. I'll see what I can do, I've already a large list of tiny things to improve and fix in JA Sensei before creating more tools. I've added this problem to the list.
