Is there some way to write in Japanese in a Spanish PC or Android device? Mi PC has Windows 8.0

P.D. No, my Android device doesn't include the Japanese system language / a Japanese Keyboard anywhere :( Is there some way to add it (preferably without being root)?
Thanks :D

Hi!

I can't help you with Android but try searching the web for stuff like "Microsoft IME". IME stands for Input Method Editor, it's a tool integrated within Windows that, once activated, switches your default keyboard input to that of the language selected.

There are tons of tutorials on the web that will help you set it to Japanese :)

Oh thanks but for that I should change the sistem language to Japanese, right?
If I do that, I'll be allowed to write in kana/kanji?

Anybody knows something about Android? :(

No you don't need to modify the system language, the IME only acts as a layer between your keyboard and what appears on screen. All other text is in your native language and you can switch between typing Spanish and Japanese with keyboard shortcuts or mouse clicks.

So currently I'm using Firefox in French but I can still insert ひらがな, カタカナ and 漢字 however I want :) (I just wrote "hiragana", "katakana" and "kanji")

Regarding Android I searched for "writing japanese on Android" and found this. The app seems to be made by Google but I have no idea if it's good or anything ^^

It may seem a little overwhelming now, and it will take you some hours to set everything up, but don't give up! Once it's set, switching input language is pretty straightforward and you can concentrate on learning ;)
