Code programmation

There was some disruption in recent weeks on the site following important technical upgrades. In particular last May 28th, the site was unavailable for several hours because of the server migration.

That work makes it possible to ensure the sustainability of the site in the long term, and to benefit from a more modern and more powerful system. The site is also more responsive than before, even if it was already very satisfactory.

The other important advantage of that change is the implementation of the SSL protocol yesterday (the famous HTTPS in website addresses), which ensures that your data between your computer and JA are always encrypted. It has become an increasingly important security standard for all sites, and it was necessary to update.

However, even without SSL, your most sensitive data had already been protected in the database. Passwords have never been stored clearly for example, so that even me as the administrator can't see them.

Some connections on JA Sensei for Android are still in standard HTTP, and this will be updated in the next release.

It is true that the site seems more responsive now but it may be a coincidence. And yes, I noticed that in fact the information on the site indicate that the connection is secure now. Cool !
