Last month, the Kanji module in JA Sensei had undergone a major update. This time it is the turn of the Kana module to be updated with the integration of the tracking system.

It was also the opportunity for me to integrate features that many of you requested in this module :

  • Taking quizzes with Hiragana and Katakana mixed
  • Indicating a way to differentiate じ / ぢ in quizzes

Kana contents have also been improved a lot :

  • Differences in Hepburn, Nihonshiki and Kunreishiki romaji systems
  • Phonetic description to help you pronounce the sound
  • A list of examples for each Kana with audio to help you master the pronunciation
  • The list of Kana that look the same as the selected one, so that you can pay extra attention to them and avoid mixing them (ex. さ / ち).

Sorry I know the reality of the market. Trying means investing time and money, and I can't afford that. Of course it would be a very good idea if I had enough resources, but it's not the case. Maybe one day if I can grow my activities enough to be able to invest in translations.

I know. In my opinion it is better to at least try, also including the ability for users to change something, like pronouns or articles. If the text is mostly translated is not at all difficult. Unfortunately I see many negative reviews because they want the Italian. Why do not you propose? Many of my countrymen would buy the application, including me, if it was in Italian.
Sorry, my english isn't perfect.

This isn't planned simply because it woud take too much time (to translate AND to integrate), and users tend to vote negatively if the app is not 100% translated. So 0% is better for the app rating, amazing but this is the hard logic I learned when I tried to integrate the Spanish language.
